as i just walked into work last night at 5:45pm my grandfather passed, peacefully and surrounded by family. we have been so blessed to have him as ours. father, grandfather, mentor and inspiration.
Just saw this, sorry dear. I lost my grandfather on Friday Apr. 8 around 5:30 just a couple of weeks ago. Like yours, he had a family member, of some sort, near him his last week. It is bittersweet knowing they are at peace, but you don't want to lose them either. He is the first immediate blood relative I have lost in my 34 years, I felt pretty lucky for that much time.

ReplyDeleteRyan lost his grandpa this month, too. It was very hard on his dad. How wonderful your grandpa was so surrounded by love as he left!
