revival of inspiration

yesterday i did the September photo shoot for The Painted Dolls! the theme was "of the earth." the weather was perfect and i had my lovely assistant for the day/fellow photographer/hair-schoolmate Sam there to rock the reflector and make it all happen. i couldn't be happier with my images. i'm posting just a few!

this shoot has given me a fresh lungful of inspiring air. for so long i did shoots i wasn't that interested in just so i could build up my clientele. boredom soon set it and i found myself unmotivated to pick up my camera at all between assignments. this past year has been one of allowance, especially in this area. i allowed myself time away from "building" my business. no more pushing or bending. instead i decided to let it lie. and beneath the resting place where i left it, i am finding fertile ground.

wow. i'm slightly ashamed of the fact that its the end of the month and i'm posting another "whoa, this month flew by" sort of blogs. geeeez! ah well. what i can say about that is:

1) i have been busy living, loving, coming, going, doing, being, and still becoming.
2) i hope everyone experiences such life periods where, at least for a moment, they don't feel the need to keep up with anyone but themselves.

so...august. new classes in hair school. new job for the weekends. new home.
i'm now taking guests on my own during the week in school! yippeee! on my weekends i'm serving food & drinks at a local pub. {i'll just mention here how much i <3 beer, and i will be continuing my "beer (yummm)" category of blogs soon.} i finally moved my babies with me into my love's apartment. last night was our first night all together and it felt like a very sweet sigh. the rushing current of this existence has merged our waters. we flow together now, naturally.

so today i go on a lovely bike ride from home to mailbox to store. it was perfect out, i was ready for my evening, some boy waved at me as i rode by. 

and then as i passed he spouts "wanna have sex!?!? hehehe"   

aghh!  and for some reason all i could muster was a lame facial expression that said "gross little boy!"  WHYYYYY couldn't i have reacted better!?!?! and by better, i mean ramming the preteen pussbag with my bike, whamming him in the nose & delivering a swift kick to the crotch!?!?! where's my Audrey DEATHburn when i need her? obviously, not riding the bike with me.

also i got some new waterproof gel eyeliner to wear for bouts! i think i still need more....think so?

    ah lovely friday! i'm now the owner of a pair of five fingers & sseko sandals! yay! aaaand i got preston to buy some sanuks of his own. its a shoe day!  poor guy, though...i made him try on every stinkin style. so after two hours, 20 pairs of shoes tried on, and 3 purchased he was ready for a drink.  =)

    aside from the drink, we're eating home(preston)made onion burgers, i'm making tattoo plans and getting pumped about my photo shoot tomorrow.

(on the tattoo subject, isn't this one aaamazing!!?!?!?!!!) 

   anyway...aside from all this we signed a pre-lease this week and made a deposit on our soon-to-be home. its an apartment, but it has w/d hookups woo-hoooo!!!! i'm ready to do laundry one load at a time!  aaaaand...our deposit was much cheaper than we had anticipated! yay!

   so. shopping tomorrow with ames, photo shoot with a lovely family, sunday with my man for his birthday. loving the moments
