Joooon 13

This week is my first official week as a booth-renting hair stylist! woot-woot! Loving it so far. If you live in OKC, come see me.  :)   Oh yeah, I'm at Starlite Salon on NW 23rd in the Paseo. Photos to come soon!
Other than loving my salon life, I started some jewelry projects today. I haven't done that in a while and it was a nice change of lazy afternoon time consumption. I'm excited to hang my wares around my booth for sale so I was inspired to finally work on these pieces I have been planning for a while now.

I couldn't resist the little blue molded frame, it might stay in my jewelry box. ;-)

I've had these cute little pendants for a while so I'm finally collaging them. A final dip in epoxy and then necklaces and I shall sell!

Rae has been itching for an OKC Thunder Up shirt, so we went to Shop Good today to get one. There a percentage of a number of their goods are returned to Sunbeam Family Services, a local nonprofit just a block from our apartment that assists the disadvantaged of all ages in the community. Sunbeam is also where Rae is currently trying to get a job, so we chose our local purchase with that in mind.
Dear Universe - please and thank you!

And dinner. Enough said.

Oh yes, I'm also blonde again. Blonde and moonlight blue. I wish you days of blonde and moonlight too. <3

brrrwhatthecrap?!?!

so i left town this weekend with a bag packed full of spring dresses & shorts. but now bbrrrr!! what the crap!?! i'm pretty positive that i'm going to have to replant everything that was in my garden. and since i still haven't filled my propane tank i've come home to a frigid house. the little space heater in my bedroom has thawed my fingertips just enough to type. and hopefully the room will warm up enough for me to make some more duct tape wallets (since i've suddenly been selling them like crazy this weekend! yippeeee!) sadly, i didn't even get photos of the cool ones i sold. soon..

this card holder is my fave so far...

here's a little info about Uncovering Oklahoma...

Uncovering Oklahoma is a documentary series that features interesting places and things to do in Oklahoma for teens and young adults. The show covers everything from unique stores, great food to eat, places worth visiting, and activities to try. The goal is to show everyone places they’ve never even heard of before and make Oklahoma less boring.

its a handiwork saturday

as much as i love escaping this town on the weekends there is still nothing like a saturday at home where the only expectation is that you'll give in to all your whims and lazy-heart desires.
today: zumba/buy laces for my skates then immediately return them/lunch/skate/handiwork time!!
i'm working on some new stuff for my etsy shop! my boy (haha, he'll hate being called that) is working tonight so i've taken over this desk space with my 'toys,' cranked up pandora & made myself a drink. the kitties are lazing around the living room watching me through their little slits of eyes and nosing through my chain.

ahhh saturday
beeeaaaaddssss!!!!
